Plein air watercolor painting of the total solar eclipse. This was painted outside of El Salto, Mexico, in between Mazatlan and Durango. The sky was painted during totality.
Such an eerie experience - we were on a hill with an abandoned church, not a single other human being in sight.
The cows started mooing and the birds were flying in circles as the warm tone of the light tuned cold.
